FRI deemed to be university (RFRI Centre) was established in 10th January 1998 with the mission to promote forestry and environment education across different disciplines. The disciplines pursued in RFRI centre are Forest Pathology, Forest Ecology, Soil science, Botany/ Taxonomy and Forest Ecology & Environment.

 

In this centre the students have an opportunity to learn from the Scientists who are engaged in different forestry related problems of NE India. Appropriate standard of teaching, research, experimentation and other academic activities is given to the students during their study.

 

There are facilities in the centre such as library, computer lab, sports, cultural get-togethers and celebration of different environmental related programmes.. Altogether 12 students were awarded Ph D and 8 are pursuing their course in RFRI Centre. The lists are given below:
